Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) provide free, unbiased, and confidential counseling services and are part of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. SHIBA is a statewide network of trained volunteers who advocate for and assist consumers with Medicare. 

Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW) is the local sponsor of SHIBA and provider of Medicare education.

You’re invited to read the graphic memoir They Called Us Enemy and view the live, online author talk with author, actor, activist George Takei. They Called Us Enemy recounts George’s childhood imprisonment within two American incarceration camps during World War II. George Takei is best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed television and film series Star Trek.
