Chef Hibra Tsegay of Amen Ethiopian Café demonstrates the preparation of a traditional dish in an online presentation while you follow along in your home kitchen. After registration, you will receive the recipe and an ingredient list via email prior to the presentation. Be sure to purchase and prepare the ingredients as indicated in advance to cook along with the chef. Presenters also share tidbits about food and culture.

The Cheney High School Orchestra will be hosting their annual Holiday Fundraiser on Wednesday, December 10th from 6-8pm in the CHS Commons.  There will be live holiday music from the CHS Chamber Orchestra, along with a silent auction, holiday treats and games for children.  This is a family friendly event.  We are asking for an admission fee of $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors.  This event is supported by the Cheney Blackhawk Booster Club and all proceeds will go to help the CHS Orchestra attends festivals and clinics.

Ages 5+ & their families

Get ready for a custom adventure at the library! We ask you a few questions, and you choose what you’d like to do at each step. Do you want to travel by plane or boat? If you choose by plane, you complete one activity. If you choose to go by boat, you do something completely different. You get to experience your own unique program filled with fun challenges and crafts. The library provides all supplies.

Kids age 8 and younger must bring an adult.

Under Chef Frank’s expert guidance, you’ll learn techniques for rolling, filling, and shaping different pastas, expanding your skills far beyond traditional ravioli. The evening will culminate in a delightful dinner, served in the warm and historic ambiance of Commellini Estate’s Main Venue.

On the Menu:

·        Housemade Focaccia Bread & EVOO Butter

·        Caesar Salad
